Johnson College is currently seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced medical professionals to join our Workforce Advancement & Value-Added Education team as a part-time Medical Assistant Instructor. If you love what you do and are excited to help others enter the field, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Help prepare students for success in today's medical offices by teaching the hands-on skills employers value most. As an instructor, you will guide students through preparing a patient for treatment and exams, routine laboratory procedures, pharmacology basics, medical terminology, taking and documenting vital signs and the essential clinical functions of a medical assistant. Administrative functions include organizing and presenting course materials, attendance tracking, and grade submission.
Required qualifications may vary by discipline taught but generally include a minimum of three years of full-time industry expertise and/or work experience and appropriate education/training credentials pertinent to the course subject matter area. Formal teaching certification is not required. Teaching experience with adult students is preferred. A teaching demonstration may be required.
