We are recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor for a long standing and growth-oriented company in the Raleigh area. This role offers an opportunity to influence process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and collaborate cross-functionally. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits across various departments and business units.
- Oversee and mentor junior audit team members, providing direction and reviewing work for accuracy and quality.
- Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls; identify gaps and develop actionable recommendations.
- Review adherence to internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Prepare detailed audit documentation including testing workpapers, schedules, and audit findings.
- Draft audit reports summarizing issues, implications, and recommendations; present findings to stakeholders and department heads.
- Contribute to annual audit planning by identifying risk areas and helping define audit scope and objectives.
- Leverage data analytics tools to enhance audit efficiency and insight generation.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant audit experience, public accounting experience is a plus
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as ACL, Alteryx, or Tableau.
- Clear, concise communication style with the ability to present complex information effectively across functions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple audits or tasks simultaneously.
