Position: Central Sterile / Sterile Processing Technician

Job Summary:
Responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing, assembling, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards, industry guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process specialty and general surgical instruments
• Decontaminate instruments and equipment per established procedures
• Assemble and reset instrument trays accurately using tray listings
• Prepare case carts and surgical trays for use, storage, or further processing
• Maintain Central Sterile Department inventory and stock levels
• Inspect instruments and report repair needs to the supervisor
• Follow regulatory and quality standards for materials management

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Certification: CRCST (HSPA) – required
• Experience: 2–4 years related experience preferred
• Skills:
  • Case cart and tray assembly
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards
  • Quality inspection and testing of instruments and processes

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday with rotating weekends
